A contractor arrived with fifteen men to start working on the hotel. Materials will be arriving shortly. Stonework will start next week.

John Burmister allowed the contract to plumb the hotel. C.A. Masters out of Mankato is going to put the water fixtures in on a contract bid of $1,417. Pond & Hasey out of Minneapolis will be putting in the heating fixtures from a bid of $1,480.

Mr. Burmister canceled the contract with the builder, Charles A. Bartz, and will finish building the hotel himself.

First coat of plaster has been applied to the first two floors. The roof is also completely attached. Piers are being attached for the porch and the windows will soon be put in.

Contractor Davis says that the hotel could possibly be done be June 15th. As long as there is no delay on the mill work. Plastering has been completed on the third and fourth floor.

Unfortunetly, there has been a delay on some of the millwork shipment, but should still be done in June. The third story will for ready for furniture in a few days and there is a big to get the first and second floors.

Fourth floor is ready for furniture to be moved in and the third floor is being painted. The office, reading room, and the dining room all have their steel ceiling on.

There is still a delay on the shipment of millwork. It could be several weeks before the opening of the hotel. The inside is showing an excellent arrangement.

Not only has the mill work shipments been a major delay, other materials are pushing things back. They are pushing to get the work done that is possible. Tile is being laid in the office, reading room, and wash room. Carpet has been laid on the third and fourth floor and furniture will soon be put in its place.

The contractor says that the hotel should be opening within the next week. A car load of furniture has been delayed but should arrive within three or four days. Contractor Davis has made good time considering all the set backs. A formal opening is in the works for the town people.

Governor Cummins and 34 leading business man checked into the hotel in honor of the Governor. The first meal served in the house was served to the men. Antlers is conceded to be the best public house within a large territory.
