    This machine made picking cotton easier but it also increased slavery. It also seperates cotton fiber from the seeds. This machine also is more productive than picking cotton manually

    The First Great Migration was from 1816-1819. The population in the colonies grew from 450 to 4,000. Mortality rates were high due to diseases, malnutrition, and war with Indians. It was in the North and it affected the South because they are the one's who use slaves

    Frederick Douglass had to watch his mother get whipped when he was small. He told people of his experience of slavery. He was spokesperson and a former slave. It impacted the South because he told his stories of slavery and started to impact the South.

    The roughest welcome was in Boston,Massachusetts. They left because there were too many diseases. it imapcted the south because they migrated to parts in the south like in New York and in Boston

    The Compromise of 1850
    the Fugitive Slave Act was amended and the slave trade in Washington D.C. was abolished. Five laws passed in September of 1850 that dealt with slavery. It impacted the South because they were the one's who had more slaves.
