    Marilla couldn’t find her brooch and said if Anne didn’t confess she couldn’t go to the picnic, so Anne confesses so she can go and then Marilla says she can’t go because she is angry because she thinks Anne took the brooch. Even though Anne did not take the brooch.

  • Anne goes to school for the first time

    Anne starts school with Diana and makes it her goal to be the best in class.

  • She learns to hate Gilbert Blythe

    On her first day of school, Gilbert Blythe calls her carrots and Anne has a classroom rivalry

    Anne is really excited to have Diana over for tea and she unintentionally gives Diana wine rather than a berry drink. Diana goes home early because she isn’t feeling well when she gets home her mom realizes that she is drunk. Mrs. Barry then prohibits Diana for spending time with Anne.

  • Anne saves Minnie May

    Minnie May gets croup and the nanny can’t save her because she has no experience with croup. This redeems her with Mrs. Barry and she is able to see Diana again.

  • Anne breaks her ankle

    Anne takes a dare, falls off the roof and is bedridden due to a broken ankle for several weeks.

  • Anne gets puffed sleeves

    Matthew gets puffed sleeves for Anne for a school concert

  • Mrs. Allen comes over for tea and Anne messes up the cake.

    When the new Minister and his wife arrive in Avonlea, Anne is obsessed with the wife, Mrs. Allen. Eventually, Marilla suggests Anne invites Mrs. Allen over for tea. After much arrangement, Mr. and Mrs. Allen arrive. When it finally came time for the cake, the party realizes Anne accidentally put liniment in the recipe. Anne is very sad she messed up the cake for Mrs. Allen.

  • Anne almost gets drifted down the river and Gilbert Blythe saved her.

    They were acting out a play and Anne was Elaine, who drifts down the river in a barge. The boat had a hole and began to fill with water. Anne jumped of onto a wood pile and Gilbert came and saved her.
