    Everyone is disappointed. Turkey is not in the war yet. Mr.Dussel is writting letters to people outside of the Secret Annexe. He is not only breaking the rules but it is dangerous for him and all the others who live with him. Finaly, they hear a part of Hitler's propaganda on the radio.

    In Tunesia, the New Zeland crops abandoned efforts to go faster. They were able to reach, in the evening the Tebaga Gap. During the night, a bombardment occured at Mareth Line. The barrage was followed up by troops of the British 50th Division.

    The important attack on the Marenth Line, by the British forces that occured in the morning, established a small force across the natural antitank obstacle of Wadi Zigzaou. Fortunately ground conditions prevent a further build up.

    The American advance was held near El Guettar by the Axis forces. The German 10th Panzer Division suffered many losses atempting to exploit successes. Montogomery sended the 1st armored division to join the New Zelands Corps.

    The fourth Indian Division was deployed by Montgomery. Their progress was slowed by harsh terrain but their mouvement could not affect the issue of the battle.

    Afraid for their lives, the Franks, Van Dann and Mr.Dussel wait in horrible suspense beacuse a bulglar breaks into the office. In the morning, the men go to check it out and it finishes tht they are safe.

    The British 1st Armored Division nearly reached the Tebaga Gap during the night. The threat combined with the concentration of the Americans, caused General von Armin to withdraw the German.

    On March 26th, three main events occured. First, in Tunisia, Axis forces in the Tebaga Gap were attacked by Allied through the day. By the evening, the Axis defenses have been worn down.
    Then, in Vichy France, to consolidate his power, Laval organized a cabinet modification.
    To finish with, in the Bearing Sea, an American squadran and a Japanese squadron met and a gun engagment occured. A cruiser on each side was badly damaged.

    Anne and the others living in the "Secret Annexe" are developping time-killing subjects so there time in the Annexe goes by more quickly. Mr. Van Daan has a cold and makes a fuss about it. Finaly, they have a good news about the Germans department of Labor Exchange.

    On March 28th, the Axis forces have been substantially weakened. In Wadi Akarit, the retreating German and Italian are arriving.

    The crew of the German barricade runner Regensburg set fire to the ship. This avoided capture when intercepted by the British. Only 6 German aboard mermbers survived.

    Anne is explaining us that three of the people in the "Secret Annexe" don't feel well, they are sick. In the room next the "Secret Annexe", Daddy want's to hear the conversations of the gentlemen so the lie on the floor and are able to hear. At her turn, Anne listens but accidently falls asleep.

    The British Beaufort and Beaufighter torpedo bombers attacked off the coast of Spain, the Italian blockade-runner Pietro Orseolo.Substantial dammage was caused after the US submarine hit the ship with an underwater missile.
