    Anne started showing up interest in Peter and found him funny when they started dressing up in silly clothes.

    The Germans are taking away more Jews, many of which are Anne's friends. They are sent into concentration camps, in which is also the same place where they are murdered.

    Someone else was starting to move into the Secret Annexe, Alfred Dussel. He is a dentist and an acquintance of Miep.

    Mr. Dussels is told nice by Anne and is willing to share a room with him. He often tells the annexe people about how bad it is outside the annexe.

    Anne's mom offers to hear Anne's prayers but Anne doesn't want to. Anne's mom is hurt and feels like she can't make her daughter happy.

    There was a break in the Annexe and some people had stolen some money. Luckily, they didn't find the people living there.

    People in the Annexe have quarrels more frequently. They have their own store of food, not sharing. They would usually just eat by themselves.

    A plane crashed near them, on top of a school. Two people were killed - Germans shot the pilots immediately.

    There was a burglary inside the place, and people inside the annexe were lucky enough for the police not to find them.

    Anne tells the event last night, the very important one which is getting up close with Peter and having her first kiss.

    The Germans have arrested Mr. Van Hoeven, the person who brings the annexe people potatoes for food.
