Animal Farm Presentation Merle

  • Old Major's Speech

    Old Major makes a speech to all of the animals. He tells them that the farmer Mr. Jones is treating them unfairly and convinces all of the animals that they need to kick Mr.Jones off of the farm. Old Major teaches all the other animals the song the Beasts of England which inspires them to revolt against Mr. Jones.
  • The Uprising of the Animals

    All of the animals especially the pigs, are inspired by Old Major's speech and in honnor of his death they decide to go forward with the rebellion. The animals kick Mr. Jones off of the farm based off war tactics and are inspired to run the farm by themselves.
  • Animals become literate

    The pigs are known as the smartest of the animals and find books in Mr. Jones' house and teach themselves to read and write. The pigs try and teach many other animals to read and write and then for the seven commandments of the farm.
  • Animals Working Hard

    The animals decide to put the pigs in charge because they are the smartest. Everyone has to work hard together to get all of the work done. All of the animals work six days a week taking sunday off. The animals are happy with this because they are not working for someone anymore and having to get poor meals and water breaks, but now have better meals and more water.
  • Spreading The Word

    The animals choose to get the word out to other farms around the area to encourage them to also uprise against the owners of their farmers.
  • The War

    Mr. Jones and some other farmers are marching towards the animal farm to try and over rule the animals on the farm. The pigeons find out this information and tell Napoleon. Snowball studies a few books that have Julius Ceaser war tactics. The group decided to use the war tactics in the battle that takes place.
  • The End of the War

    The war is over and it was a very fierce battle. Snowball fought very fiercly so Snowball and boxer both recieve metals called 'Animal Hero First class". The animals find Mr. Jones' gun and put it at the bottom of the flag staff and agree to fire it twice a year on October 12th which is known as the Battle of the Cowshed and also on the anniversery of the day of the rebellion,
  • The Building of the Windmill

    The animals agree to go through with a two year project to build a windmill in honor of the battle that took place.They feel as though the windmill will be beneficial to the farm because it will create less work for all of them.
  • Snowball and Napoleon's Argument

    Snowball and Napoleon do not agree on the building of the windmill so Snowball ends up parting ways with the rest of the farm and the ties he had to the farm.
  • Working Hard

    The animals work hard on trying to maintain the farm and build the windmill. The animals build the windmill but are short on supplies such as nails. So Napoleon decides to hire a Mr. Whymper a human soliciter. Mr. Whymper begins to show up regularly getting any supplies to the farm that Napoleon requested.
  • Trying to Maintain the Windmill

    The windmill begins to keep getting destroyed. All the animals are frightened by the thought of this because they are unsure of who is doing this. Napoleon is sure it is Snowball and that he is the criminal and tells them that animal farm will stay strong.
  • Animals Begin to Struggle During WInter

    Winter hits and the animals begin to struggle. The word gets around that all of the animals are struggling and that the windmill did not succeed. The humans refuse to believe that Snowball wasn't the reason that the windmill was not a success but that it was simply because of errors on the design. The animals discover this and this causes them to want to build the wind mill again.
  • Snowball is The Enemy

    The animals find out that Snowball has been damaging the farm. This makes Napoleon angry and he has to build the windmill bigger thicker and stronger.
  • Squeeler Reveals a Secret

    Squeeler tells all the animals that Snowball went to a different farm and that he was on Mr. Jones' side. The animals question this because of his heroic efforts in the battle but Napoleon and Squeeler reassure the animals that this was part of his plan the entire time.
  • The Gathering of the Animals

    Napoleon gathers all of the animals together for a meeting. At the meeting he says that he is appalled at the fact that any of the animals have had anything to do with Snowball. He kills nine hens right on the spot with his guard dogs and they fight Boxer. The animals are banned from singing the animals beloved song Beasts of England. They are also sure that the pigs have broken one of the commandments but are mistaken because the commandment says that no animal shall be killed without reason.
  • Napoleon's power

    Napoleon names himself leader of the farm. Squeeler spreads the word around to the other animals that Napoleon is great so that all of the animals only say positive things about him. Once negotiations between Mr. Frederick and Mr. Pilkington aren't going smoothly Napoleon convinces all of the animals to hate whichever person was not pleasing Napoleon.
  • The Windmill is Done

    The windmill is completed. But before they are able to use it Napoleon finds out that the money that was funded to him by Mr. Frederick was not real.
  • The Animals Fight Again

    The animals fight Mr. Frederick and his men. Mr. Frederick and his men put dynomite on the farm and blow up the windmill. All of the animals fight hard and some of them end up dying. Boxer gets seriously hurt.
  • Mis Remembering the Commandments

    The pigs find whiskey in the basement and have get drunk. In the morning the pigs all look sick and think that Napoleon is going to die. The animals read the commandment that no animals shall drink alcohol but it really says no animal shall drink alcohol in success but blame their memory for being wrong again.
  • The Work Must Continue

    The animals continue to work hard on the farm. They decide to rebuild the windmill. Food also becomes more scarce except for the pigs and dogs. Squeeler reassures them that this is the right thing to be doing.
  • The Farm Becomes a Republic

    In the spring the farm becomes a Republic and Napoleon is voted as the president with no one running against him. The pigs also say that Snowball fought with Mr. Jones on his side.
  • Boxer Dies

    Boxer dies after a long lived life of hard work. However, Squeeler tells the rest of the animals that after he went to the doctor he was just sent away to a different farm.
  • The Humans and Animals Reunite

    A lot of the animals have died and realize that it is not worth struggling by themselves anymore. They invite other humans to join the farm and everything returns close to the same as before.
