    Andrew Jackson was born to Andrew and Elizabeth Hutchinson Jackson, who were Scots- Irish and had immigrated from Ireland in 1765. The exact location of Jackson's birth is unknown, but is thought to be at one of his uncles' houses in either North Carolina or South Carolina. Jackson's father died three weeks before he was born.

    Charles Dickinson accuses Jackson of cheating on a horse race and bigamy. To solve this they decide to duel, which is shooting at each other from a distice and whoever survives wins they both got shot, but Dickinson died and Jackson lived.

    Jackson lead troops to victory at the Battle of Horseshoe Bend. They killed around 800 Creek Indians and gained 20 million acres in present-day Georgia and Alabama. Only forty-nine men out of Jackson's 2,000 died.

    Jackson was backed by Pennsylvania and other key states, North and South, early on. Jackson won the election with his 152,901 votes, but none of the canidates won a majority in the Electorial College. Jackson earned the most, ninety-nine. The House began voting in 1825. Adams held twelve states, Jackson seven, and Crawford four. Adams won the election, despite the fact Jackson had won plurality of the electorial and popular.

    Rachel dies at age sixty-one. Jackson was said to be inconsolable once his belovied wife died. He built a tomb for her in her flower garden.
