    The Cinema Rex building in Abadan, Iran was set on fire by what was later admitted to be Islamic militants. The fire resulted in the deaths of over 470 people and and over 10 people left injured.

    Foreign: Opération Satanique-The Rainbow Warrior Sinks
    Greenpeace, an organization, had a ship named the Rainbow Warrior docked in Auckland, New Zealand. It wanted to protest French nuclear testing in Mururoa, an island that is a part of French Polynesia. France sent Division Action, the action branch of its intelligence services, known as the Direction générale de la sécurité extérieure to keep the ship from setting sail to protest. When the ship sank, not only was the boat lost, Fernando Pereira, a freelance Dutch-Portuguese photographer drowned.

    The Administrative Department of Security (DAS) building was truck bombed in Bogota, Colombia. When it exploded, over 50 people died, with more than 1000 injured. The bombers are believed to be in the Medellín Cartel, a network of drug smugglers who were aiming to kill DAS directer Miguel Maza Márquez, but failed.

    Ramzi Yousef, Mahmud Abouhalima, Mohammad Salameh, Nidal A. Ayyad, Abdul Rahman Yasin, and Ahmed Ajaj planned to bomb the NYC's World Trade Center with the financial backing of Khaled Sheikh Mohammed, Yousef's uncle. Yousef even admitted to it being terrorism, but justifies it, saying that "the terrorism that Israel practices (which America supports) must be faced with a similar one." The truck bomb resulted in 6 deaths, over 1000 injured people, and damanged the underground of the WTC

    Domestic: Transair Georgia Shot Down
    3 attacks occured between the 21st and 23rd on Transair Georgia. Missiles and mortars were said to have been shot at the planes by separatists. This attack was a part of the Georgian–Abkhazian conflict, as the separatists wish for the two places to be separate. The attacks were from Sukhumi, a city that is a part of western Georgia, but is also claimed to be the captial of Abkhazia, an only partially-recognized nation. The shooting ended over a hundred lives with half that amount still injured.

    Domestic: Sarin Attack in Tokyo Subway
    Religious group Aum Shinrikyo resorted to strange terroristical means to spread their awareness to their faith. It is said the attack was done to attempt to take down the government and get Shoko Asahara, the group's founder, to become the new "emperor" of Japan. In court, lawyers argued that only a few senior members planned it, not the leader. The attack method used was spreading sarin, a chemical weapon, through the subway system. 12 died, with over 1000 injured. Some even lost their vision.

    In Baga, Nigeria, an attack by northeastern Nigeria-based Islamic extremist group Boko Haram happened. The terrorists fight the local military there due to their strict Islamic beliefs.The bloody battle ends in almost 200 deaths and almost 100 more injured.
