  • Period: Jan 1, 1000 to Feb 21, 1492

    The Old days

In this time span, there were only natives in America, no settlers.

    The British are Coming!!!
European/British colonists come with Christopher Columbus to explore the "New World" (that is, America) to look for: more land, and for spices , as spices were very expensive in that time (only the elites ate spices) due to the increasing rarity. Photo:Christopher Columbus

  • Population increase begins

The 13 colonies now have 2 and a half million people, gradually increasing more and more to today's population.
Possible reasons to this: the British came in year 1492, adding to the already-growing population of America. Later, in year 1607, the English alsoarrived , adding to the population as well.
Also, there were no major wars until 1775 (the first war of independance).
  • The first war for independance

    The first war for independance
This is a war which was caused by the british government's threat to the American self-government.This war continued until 1783.
This war was the first major blow America underwent, as the population decreased heavily due to the death rates in the war.
  • The Declaration of Independance

    The Declaration of Independance
This is the official start of America's history, although before America's natural inhabitants(the natives) have a history long before America's. If this hadnt happened, America wouldnt have become an official country, making it more prone to attacks from other nations, thus triggering a very different future. America would probably have a lower population, no doubt, and be much weaker today.

    A New Beginning

This native land is now officially known as America!
But America still has many problems to fix...
  • Not again!

    Not again!
Another war has to be fought for independance yet again, also known as "The War Of 1812". This, like the first war of independance, had a large impact on the general population,
another down in America (both historically and populously).
  • Another Disaster!

    Another Disaster!
Osama bin Laden attacks America, with suicide bombers. This attack changes history, as the place bombed was the Twin Towers, the world trading center. This catastrophe is most known as the "9:11". Photo: pictures around the place of disaster, New York City
  • Today

    Today
Today, America has over 313 million people, gradually growing more and more, because now sanitary conditions have improved immensely, vaccines are now available, and over-the-counter drugs (medicines).
