American Revolution
The American Revolution started when King George the III raised the price of the stamp act and raised the price of tea. People against the King was called the Patirots. Atfer the American Revolution ended the rebels/patirots won and made The Treaty of Paris on 1783 was are independence from Britian and that is important to American. -
Declaration of Independence was Writen/Start
In 1776, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Roger Sherman and Robert Livingston started/drafed the Declaration of Independence. This document was talking about how Britian will not rule and give America independence. This document is very important because the Declaration of Independence was Americas way on for the Goverment and are independence is in that paper. -
The Battle of the Alamo
The Battle of the Alamo was a famous part of the Texas Revolution. In 1836, the Santa Anna soldiers attack the alamo and after the that battle 2 Texan guard were killed. Thats was why many people said," Remember the Alamo!" After the Mexican- American war America got a huge amount of land. -
The Civil War
In 1861 The Civil War started. The war stared for many reasons, but one of the most important reason was slavery. There were so many differences between the North and the South. Then in 1865 the Civil War ended and slavery were no longer allowed. Slavery was NEVER a good thing and now slavery doesn't excess anymore. -
World War I
World War I started in 1914, but the United States did not join the war until 1917. This war involved Russia, France, and the United Kingdom and the Central Powers were Germany and Austria-Hungary. This war started out in Europe to see which had the Great Power. I thought it was interesting it was War involued many other countries. It was also a huge battle field. -
American First Atomic Bomb
1945: In 1945, scientists built the first atomic bomb as a part of the Manhattan Project. The total cost of this project was more than $2 billion. I thought it was important was because the first atomic bomb would probable help America in wars or weapons. -
Civil Rights
Martin Luther King was a civil rights leader and activist. Martin Luther King was fighting for Civil rights which is so important because even if Abe Lincoln got rid of slavery African- American didn't do many things white people did. Thanks to Martin Luther King Civil Right was ended so thats why I chose this events. -
Apollo 11
Apollo 11 was the first manned spacecraft to land on the moon. Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong took the first steps on the moon on July 20, 1969. That was Americas happese day because it was Americas first manned landing on the moon. -
9-11 a sad day.
On September 11, 2001, terrorists took control of four airplanes. They crashed two planes into the World Trade Center in New York and one plane into the Pentagon. Millions of people had lot family member or even lost their lives. This attack was the worst one America ever had. After this tragic event sercrity was more caution. I thought having 9-11 on the timeline was important because 9-11 was a horrible day.
