    today parlement passed the sugar act. this act lowerd the tax for Molasses. the parlement wanted to do this because the colonist were finding a way to get molasses without paying taxes. so they thought that if they lowerd the taxes the colonist would pay it
  • the stamp act

    the stamp act placed taxt on all of the things that were printed in the colonies. the pupose of this was so that britian can pay off there dept from the french and indian war.

    this act was made by the parlement so that the british troops could have a place to stay when they were in america. also this act also let the bristish troops get food. if any of the colonist did not let the bristish troops stay in there hosue would be arrested.

    the boston massacre was a fight between british troops and colonist.they called it that to get the other colonies fighting agenst the british. but only 5 people died when this happend. later in the week so that the general that had his men kill the five people be sent out of the town and leave the british army.

    this act did not place any tax on the colonist. it just wanted the east india compony to come out and sell there tea so that the parlement could get the tax from the colonist by getting them to pay for tea.

    the boston tea party was an event in which the sons of liberty met and the made a plan in which the would get on a british ship and throw all the tea off of the ship. the leader of the sons of liberty was samual adams.

    this act was announced right after the boston tea party. it was made to punish the colonist for what they did to the british tea. it also did not let any ships come and go through the boston port.

    today george washington was named comander in cheif of the continental army he was also elected as the first united states president after the war was finished. washington was the commander in cheif for alot of different battles and wars but the most famous two are trenton and prenston.

    the decleration was made by thomas jefferson.the first and the second continetal congress signed the decleration of independence. the largest signature on it was by john hancock.
