    Proclamation of 1763
    This Proclamation stated no one can colonize past the mountians to protect native american realtion. The colonist believed it was becuase they did not undertand there needs.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    This act was put in place to replace the hated molasses act which was double the price. But, the Sugar Act stated no caribbean trading there are not british islands.
  • Currency Act

    This act was made in order to protect british merchants from worthless money.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    The Stamp Act made all colonial legal papers be on british paper which was expensive. So pricey in fact colonist would burn the paper as soon as it hit the land. It was soon revoked due to riots and protest.

    Quartering Act made it possible for british soldiers to take over any house. this was because of the price of keeping soldiers in America.
  • Repeal of Stamp Act and passage of Declaratory Act

    Repeal of Stamp Act and passage of Declaratory Act
    The Declaratory Acts got rid of the Stamp act and also lowred the price of the Sugar Act. This was a step in the right direction considering colonist were protesting just about every act.

    The Townshend Acts were a tax on luxury items. It was made so that officals could make more money while not taking money from the poor.

    this was a tex on tea becuase tea was a luxury item at the time at it was smart to tax the things people did not need to survive in order to keep the colonist happy, But it simply made them protest more.

    Coercive or “Intolerable” Acts
    the Coercive or “Intolerable” Acts were an act of revenge from Paraliment. After the Boston Tea Party, the british decieded to crack down on meetings and self government in order to stop planned group riots and protest.
  • Battle of Lexington and Concord

    Battle of Lexington and Concord
    This battle was in part of the british wanting to stop the colonist from collecting guns and ammo. They met at the two cities Lexington and Concord. The colonist suprised them and defeated the army with only 700 ragtag men.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    Battle of Bunker Hill
    This battle, although a loss for the Colonist, took down some british soldiers and gained confidence as a country in the war effort.
  • Second Continental Congress

     Second Continental Congress
    the Second Continental Congress joined as delagtes from all 13 colonies to decide and lead the war, They also created treaties.
  • Declaration of Independence

     Declaration of Independence
    The Declaration of Independence introduced a fundamental change in the view of government. This document declared that governments were created to serve the people, It created the democratic government system.
  • Battle of Saratoga

     Battle of Saratoga
    The Battle of Saratoga showed that the colonist had a chance and that the french should help the effort. It was followed by French relief in the war.
  • Battle of Yorktown

     Battle of Yorktown
    This battle was a important victory for George Washington as a Gerneral. It also saw the end of General cornwallis after he surrendered.
  • Treaty of Paris

    Treaty of Paris
    The Treaty of Paris marked the end of the war and gave back land to America. It was soon followed by british attacks of American ships and trying to stop trade.
