    The French and Indian war lasted form 1754 to 1763. This war was against the Brittish and French for France's land in North America. The natives also played a big role becasue they allied with both sides to gain supplies from them like guns, ammo, and other things. They mainly allied with the French.
  • Treaty of Paris

    Treaty of Paris
    The French and Indian war started in 1754 and offically ended in 1763 when the Treaty of Paris was signed. When this was signed England gained alot of the land in North America. It also put the Brittish into debt so to solve this problem they taxed the colonist. This is a major step in the beginning of the thought of rebeling against Britian.

    In 1764 there was a writs of assistance which was a law that the courts ordered that permitted the officers to conduct general premises for contraband. Also the items were not really detailed. One of the items that they taxed was the sugar which is known as the "Sugar Act" in 1764. It was one of the ways Britsh taxed the English colonist to get money from the war. The British also taxed the stamps knows as the "Stamp Act" in 1765. Also the Declaratory Act in 1766.

    This act was agreed on by the English Parliament, this act or tax mad it so colonist had to quarter any soldier who needed the shelter. This angered colonist for two reasons. One was because it was there homes and two there was no need for soldiers to be walking and patroling the streets.

    On the this date Brittish soldiers killled 5 colonist in a event that weas called the Boston Massacre. This was another major event that absolutly makes the colonist mad. Later on this would inspire som famous propaganda.

    This act was put onto the colonist by the parliament. Yes this act decreased the price of tea by cutting out the middle man, but the colonist didn't like that they weren't talked to about the tax. It was just put in to effect. So insted of drinking Brittish tea they drank "Liberty Tea".

    This event led up to the American Revolution because a few anti-taxers dressed up as Mohawk indians and dumbed tea into the harbor to show that they didn't need the Brittish's tea.

    The Intolerable acts was a parliament was a law that was passed to punish Boston for the tea party. Which caused the harbor to close and public meetings are made illegaly. Also the military's rule was cut off until the tea was payed.

    This was the first battle of the American Revolution. The British troops leave boston to get weapons. John Hancock and Samuel Adams get arrested and Paul Revere warned them. Also 4,000 colonist attack the British from Boston to Concord.
