  • Car

    Car is important because it was a way to trade goods, and to expand our knowledge.
  • Telephone

    The Telephone was important because it allowed people in different citys, or states to communicate without waiting for months, or having to meet up with them.
  • Radio

    The Radio is important because it could inform people across the states news of wars, presidents, exc.
  • The Great Migration

    It was important because it was when a giant amount of African Americans started moving out of the south, and into the north.
  • 18th Amendment

    It was important because the Government and the states stopped selling, making and transportation alcohol.
  • 19th Ammendment

    It is important because woman were fighting for freedom, and won it. They are now able to vote as of June 4, 1919.
  • Emergency Quota Act

    An Act to stop immigration into the country, they restricted the number and amount of people coming into the United States.
  • Television

    It was a way to communicate as Americans, a lot of people took what they saw in shows or movies and it helped them with their outlook on life.
  • Immigration Act 1924

    They set a quota that limites the annual immigration from certain countries.
  • Black Thursday

    On black thursday, the stock market became very unstable, causing 12.9 million stocks to be traded.
  • Black Tuesday

    it signaled the beggining of The Great Depression. This was the Big Wall street stock market crash.
  • Franklin D. Roosevelt elected president

    He became president at the beggining of the depression, he was the one that created the new deal; to help unemployed, the economy, businesses and reform their culture.
  • 1933 (state of economy)

    This was the worst part of the depression, with a 25% unemployment rate, and 9,096 banks were closed.
  • 21st Ammendment

    It is important because President Roosevelt repealed the 18th Ammendment, making it okay to sell, transport, and make Alcohol.
  • Hoover Dam Constuctive

    Started being built in 1931 and was named after President Hoover. The dam provide power for utilities in Nevada, Arizona, and California, control floods, and provide water to dry lands.
  • Computer

    It helped with faster communication throughout the world, and countries.
  • GI Bill of Rights

    Bill passed to help veterans, that allowed them to go to college, one year of paid unemployment, loan specificaly for veterans.
  • Internet

    Its important because it gave people all around the world, a way to communicate and learn off eachother.
  • Frisbee invented

    William Russel Frisbie in 1870 first started using a homemade pie tin as a frisbee, but they weren't introuduced as frisbees themself till 1957. It allowed kids and adults to play, which everyone thought were flying saucers.
