During 2,200 BC Turkic people migrated westward to Mongolia where they adopted a pastoral lifestyle, this impacting Mongolia's language. Turkic people and Mongolian people exchanged words between each other. *Proto-Turkic (language spoken in Mongolia) was spoken in Mongolia 3000 years ago. Proto-Turkic evolved in Mongolia and a few other places. -
There were numerous languages, religions and ethnicities in Mongolia during antiquity. During antiquity there was only one language called *Afro- Asiatic of Mongolic ( The language of Mongolia during antiquity). During antiquity there was two languages *Animism and *Polytheism (belief in more than one god). The main ethnicity during antiquity was *Mongolian (The ethnicity of Mongolia during antiquity). -
Around 100 ,*Christianity came to Mongolia to adapt Mongolia's culture impacting their religion. Christianity didn't have the best position in Mongolia. However, many leaders were raised by Christian parents/Christian teachers. Mongols intermarried with a *Christian Kereit clan(people that work with Genghis Khan)even though *Genghis Khan(founder of the Mongol empire)was a shamanist and *Kublai Khan(an emperor of the Mongol empire)was a buddhist they were broad minded of christianity. -
In the 1840s, *Kazakhs came to Mongolia to keep close to their families in different countries affecting Mongolia’s ethnicities. The Kazakhs are the second largest ethnic group in Mongolia. The Kazakhs fled to Mongolia and China at the start of the Soviet experiment. Afterwards, the Kazakhs united with Mongolia and began focusing on their culture. -
There are many ethnicities, languages and religions in Mongolia today. Most people in Mongolia are *Mongols. *Khalkha Mongolian (language in Mongolia) is Mongolia's official language. There are also small groups of *Turkic ( a language spoken in Mongolia) speaking people, mostly Kazakhs. There is no official religion in Mongolia. Although, there is one minority religion *Christianity. Some Mongols are *Buddhists, other small groups of people are Muslims.
