    Kids & Teens
    The Alzheimer's Association has a program that teaches kids about alzheimer's the causes, symptoms and all of the important things that they need to know about the disease
  • Dementia Diagnosis

    Dementia Diagnosis
    The original diagnostic criteria for the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease were developed in 1984.
    If cognitive impairment is suspected, a full dementia evaluation is warranted to identify causes for decline or determine a specific diagnosis.
  • Medicare & Medicaid

    Medicare & Medicaid
    If the person with Alzheimer's or dementia is a Medicare beneficiary, Medicare will pay for some, but not all, care costs.
    Medicare is a federal health insurance program generally for people age 65 or older who are receiving Social Security retirement benefits or who are younger than 65 and received Social Security disability benefits for at least 24 months.
    People can use their insurance for benefis aswell to help towards alzheimer's and help them be taken care of
  • Social Security Disability

    The Social Security Administration (SSA) has added early onset/younger-onset Alzheimer's to the list of conditions under its Compassionate Allowances (CAL) initiative, giving those with the disease expedited access to Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI). The Alzheimer's Association, a longtime advocate for those with early-onset Alzheimer's, has played an integral role in this movement to reduce the length of disability decision process.
  • Hilarity for Charity NYC

    Hilarity for Charity NYC
    In 2012, Seth and Lauren (along with some amazing friends), created Hilarity for Charity. They later established the Hilarity for Charity Fund as part of the Alzheimer’s Association, through which monies raised are directed to help families struggling with Alzheimer’s care, increase support groups nationwide, and fund cutting edge research. Since its inception, Hilarity for Charity has raised more than $6.5 million to support these efforts.
  • Walk To End

    Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. When you participate in the Walk, your fundraising dollars fuel our mission, and your participation in the event helps to change the level of Alzheimer’s awareness in your community.
