In 1537, DeVaca, and what is left of his crew, finall make it back to Spain, 8 years after they left. This is important, not only that they had to live on some sort of land, but that they survived for 8 years.

Soonafter De Vaca returns home, he complains about how the natives treated their people, he disagreed with the Natives treatment. He proved himself right, and persuaded others to believe him, and that it was wrong how they were treated.

In 1542, The Relation is published, by DeVaca. It is about him and his journey throughout Galveston. This is helpful to the future explorers, and what they need to prepare fro if they want to sail out to the New World.

DeVaca wrote a narrative to Charles V, expplaining someof his experiences. This helped more and more people understand.

In 1560, De Vaca died in Seville, Spain.
