Alexander was born in the Pella Region of Macedonia, a kingdom in Ancient Greece. He was born to Queen Olympia, daughter of King Neoptolemus, and King Philip II of Macedonia.

Philip II, Alexander's father, is killed by his bodyguard. Alexander takes his place and becomes the king of Macedonia and Greece.

Alexander crossed the Hellespont into Anatolia in order to defeat King Darius III, the King of Persia, and to conquer the Persian Empire. Alexander the Great won the battle of Granicus in no time. King Darius had underestimated Alexander.

At Issus, Alexander and Darius fight. Alexander wins the battle by using his phalanx formation, defeating Darius' large army. Alexander captures Darius' children and wife, but Darius flees.

After Darius attempts a peace treaty in order to get his family back, Alexander refuses and continues to conquer Persia and challenge Darius. During the Battle of Gaugamela, Darius flees again knowing he can't win. Soon Darius dies and Alexander the Great once again wins the battle, claiming the title King of Persia.

Alexander the Great conquers Egypt and founds the city of Alexandria, named after himself. He is also proclaimed the son of the god Zeus-Ammon.

Alexander defeats King Porus' armies in northern India, just to reinstate King Porus as king. Alexander was impressed with Porus, winning his forgiveness and loyalty.

Alexander created Macedonian colonies in eastern Iran and he seized the fortress in Ariamazes. Alexander married Roxana, Prince Oxyartes daughter, and he captured the prince.

Alexander died of malaria (possibly food poisoning) in Babylon (now Iraq) on the way back from India to Greece.
