Franklin Suggests an Informal plan that would create a union

Franklin Is Given a Task
On July 9th 1754, Franklin was given the job of taking all of the debates and put them all together to construct a first rough draft of this plan for the union. -
Adopting the plan
In the initial stages of the Albany Plan, representatives from seven of the British North American colonies adopt the plan. -

Franklin Reflects
After the revolution, Franklin reflects on what may have happened if the Albany plan for the union would have not failed. In this document from 1789, Franklin suggests that if this plan would have been implemented, we may have not have gone into war with Great Britain. However, despite this, he also states that even with an implemented union, we may have still went to war later ats ome point.
