    Juan Diaz deSolis was the first European to enter Argentina looking for gold. He and many other Europeans brought many diseases killing most of Argentina's population.

    Che Guevara on of Latin America's famous heroes was born in Argentina. He strongly believed in communism and spread it rapidly throughout many countries along beside Fidel Castro.

    Laszlo Biro fled his native country of Hungary and settled in Argentina. He brought along his invention of the ballpoint and patented it in Argentina.

    Col. Juan Peron (Future president of Argentina) was released from prison by the trade unionists. Furthermore, ending the crisis of his forced resignmant from government posts.

    He took a 4,000 mile moped trip through northern Argentina in the next two years. Traveled on motorcycles nicknames "la poderosa"(the powerful one) He observed the lives of workers and peasants and changed their direction of life.

    Argentina had a devastating water burst through retaining wall spilling int the lakeside streets of Epecuen. Heavy rainfall followed by a series of wet winters and lakes overflowing. People fled when they could, within days their houses were submerged under nearly 10 meters of water.

    In Buenos Aires a terrorist attack shocked Argentina killing 85 people and injuring some 300. The attack happened at the cites Jewish center.
