  • WW1 Experiences

    Soldiers in WW1 : They had trech foot, it was very noisy, they sleep and were in trenches, and there were big rats because they had a lot of aliment, they had disgusting food, other people were sheel shact and kill them because they thought they were cowards.
    Women in WW1: Women were ambulance drivers and nurses, in the urban areas they worked in factories and in the rural they made weapons. There was a lot of opposition with women doing work that was traditionally made by men, some were sexist.
  • Treaty of Versallies

    Treaty of Versallies
    Germany had to accept the blame aat starting the world war 1. They had to pay $10 billion (called reparations) for the damadge during the war. Germany was forbidden to have submarines or an air force. It could have a navy of only six battleships, and an army of just 100,000 men.
    Germany lost territorry(land) in Europe. Germany's colonies were given to Britain and France.

    In the roaring 20's there were many new products that came like radios, refrigerators, T.V's, ford cars and many new porducts. There were many shares of that products.
    There were soldiers, dancers un clubs, film makers, painter, novelists, artists, singers of jazz and opra, traditionalists, and also the flappers.

    Germany could not afford payments, they did not have money.
    The price of food was increasing, but the price of dollars in terms of marks (the mark was the name of the German currency) was dropping.
    From the middle of 1922 until the middle of 1923, prices increased by over 100 times. Measured by the price of food, prices were 135 times higher at the end of the period than they were at the beginning. Measured by how many marks it took to buy a dollar, prices were 222 times higher.

    Because the bak made lots of loans and the countries didnt pay back, also there was not many production there was an economic crash. People became homeless, they lived in hoovenvilles, in trains "box carts". People werent able to afford food, and there was no more land to farm.

    The holocaust is when the Nazi's killed the Jews, they first had them in jewish ghettos, their life there was very difficult they had poverty, it was crowded, Nazi's mistreated them, thry starved, no good workd and lived in fear. They died from hunger , the Nazi's killed them, and diseases.
    In the concentration camps where they suffered, they had privacy violation, were taken away from family, experienced survival they starved, saw people die, lived in fear, and some had no emotions. 1940-1945
  • Pearl Harbour

    Pearl Harbour
    Japan made a surprise attack to the American naval base(Pearl Harbor) in U.S.A, they killed about 2,400 people. They decided to make the attack to destroy most of its ship and for the U.S to be weak and have a navel attack. Many people and organizations were involved, like Harold Stark, Intelligence Agencies, Husband Kimnel, Walter Short, US Navy and Kermit Tyler.
    Later they declared war.
  • Atomic Bombs

    Atomic Bombs
    After the attack of Pearl Harbor the U.S.A army sent two atomic boms that were headed to Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan. These two nuclear bombs were named "Fat Man" and "Little Boy". 90,000 - 166,000 people were killed in Hiroshima and 60,000 - 80,000 in Nagasaki.
    This event was on August 6 and 9 of 1945.
