Eckels pays $10,000 to Time Safari,Inc. to travel back in time to kill a dinosaur. When Eckels asks the man behind the counter if he will come back alive, the man responds,"We guarantee nothing." -

Keith has just been elected President of the United States. He was the "good choice" as Deutscher would have been an absolute dictator. People were calling Time Safari, Inc. in advance hoping to go live in 1492, if Deutscher had been elected. -
The Time Machine
Eckels sits down in the time machine with Mr. Travis and four other men, The safari leader, his assistant, Lesperance, and two other hunters, Billings and Kramer. -
60,000,000 Years Ago-Let's KIll A T-Rex!
Eckels, Mr. Travis, and the other men arrive to 60,000,000 years B.C. to kill the T-Rex. Mr. Travis, the safari leader, lays out the ground rules. The hunters must stay on the path, as they do not want to alter history, and change the modern world as they know it. Travis also explains not to shoot anything not marked red. -
The Trail of the Great Evil God
Eckels and the hunters travel on the trail careful and attentitive of the wildlife around them. Eckels begins to aim his rifle. He is barked at by Travis. -
Even One Animal Can Alter History
Travis explains that the smallest of animals have an impact on the food chain. The animals that are affected can influence the future because they all influence nature. -
T-Rex is much bigger than Eckels suspected
The T-Rex shows up and is much bigger than Eckels expected. Eckels freaks out and the leader, Travis, tells Eckels to find refuge in the time machine. He also tells Eckels to stay on path while he stays with the other men. -
Eckels Steps off path
In a hurry to get out of the way, Eckels jumps off path. -
Travis and the hunters kill the T-Rex
While Eckels runs away, Travis and the hunters aim for the beast and fire. With several bullets in it, the beast falls and dies. -
The men try to recover
The men try to recover from the terrifying expedition while Eckels lay shivering in the time machine. Billings and Kramer throw up and Travis and Leverance stand with smoking guns, cussing. -
Eckels is forced to retrieve the bullets
Because it is 60,000,000 years in the past and guns had not yet been invented, Travis forces Eckels to retrieve the bullets from the T-Rex, or he will be left behind. Eckels retrieves them. -
The butterfly
Travis still furious about Eckels almost getting them killed, realizes that Eckels got off of path. While Leverance suspects that Eckels only hit dirt, he is proved wrong. Eckels killed a butterfly. -
Back to the Future
The men travel back to the future but something is n't right. Eckels notices that everything is spelled wrong. EX: TYME SEFARI INC. -
Eckels' demise
When the man behind the counter is asked who won the preseidential race, he re at responds: Deutscher. Travis looks at Eckels, raises the gun, aims at Eckels, and pulls the trigger. There was a sound of thunder.
