  • Rising Action (Part 2)

    Rising Action (Part 2)
    After Travis is done explaing Eckels chaos theory, they arrive to the pre-historic time period. Travis tells everyone to stay on the floating path. He explains that the corporation has done complex calculations to see how the path should be exactly so it will not affect the time period. He also explains what specific game (animal) they choose to see if killing it will not affect the future. When hearing strange noises, they go underneath a bush, realizing it is a t-rex jumping really high.
  • Rising Action (Part 1)

    Rising Action (Part 1)
    When three of the safari directors decide to go hunt wiht Eckels, Tavis explains that he needs to be cautious with interfering with the past. If he is clumsy and doing other things, the world could change dramatically and totally differently. He explains the butterfly effect to him by a rat. "If the rat dies from getting stepted on, you will kill the furure family, Then the foxes will go hungry because the future rats were not there to be eaten..." After explaing it to him, they find the t-rex.
  • Climax

    Climax
    When the crew observes the t-rex with its terrifying characteristics, Eckels starts to get shocked since realizing that he cannot hunt that big of an animal. Travis tells him to calm down when Eckels is making too much noise and moving around a lot. Due to his attempts, it lead him stepping on the grass, which triggered the dinosaur to spot and march straight into them.
  • Falling Action

    Falling Action
    After Eckels go off to hide behind the time machine, the crew is left fighting off the dinosaur with their weapons. Surprisingly, It only takes them a few seconds to kill it. When Travis finds Eckels crying, he gives him a knife to cut open the dinosaur to retrieve the bullets. It was useless, but he was just being cruel for the clumsy move of his actions. They all go back to the time machine to see if anything as gone wrong in the present.

    THEME!
    The butterfly is the thing that changed the whole setting in the past. It is a symbol of the theme, which is "Small things can make a big difference."
  • Exposition

    Exposition
    In the story, a man named Eckrld pays $10,000 to use the time machine to hunt an extinct dinosaur, which is a t-rex. One of the safari directors, Travis, tells him that the government is worried about time traveling since it could affect the world. Also, Trabis explains that hunting a t-rex is not recommended because most hunters died from this angerous creature in the past.
  • Resolution

    Resolution
    When the crew returns back to the present time period, they realize different obstacles around them. Travis looks at the sign realizing that the English language is different. He asks one of the workers who won the presidential election. Shockingly, it was the other guy. He soon starts to get fustrated when Eckels tells him that he steped on a butterfly when he was on the grass. Travis gets out his pistol and shoots Eckels.
