  • Harriet Tubman escapes slavery

    She followed the underground railroad and made it to freedom and soon became known for saving over 70 slaves and bringing them into freedom, she soon got the name Moses, and nobody could catch her even with a prize of money on her to whoever finds her and brings her to the police.
  • Compromise of 1850

    It was five separate bills passed that somewhat solved the dispute between slave and free states on the status of territories acquired in the Mexican–American War.
  • Uncle Tom’s Cabin published

    This was a book about how slavery was which caused a lot of backlash by the south towards her and praise from the north.
  • Kansas Nebraska Act

    It was an effort by John to arm the slaves with weapons himself and rebell back, but it did not go well he was soon caught.
