Apr 16, 1998 Before I ever bought a place of my own, I had decided to get a house with a yard big enough for a dog. Feb 2, 2000 Gabby was born! Gabby was born on Ground Hog's Day, February 2, 2000. Apr 4, 2000 Gabby's first owner had been leaving her in the yard all alone every day, so the dog breeder took her back. Jun 5, 2000 I adopted Gabby Apr 14, 2001 Gabby has been a pig in the mud ever since! ("Pig in the mud" is a Southern American idiom for someone who is very happy, right where they belong).
