  • Declaration of Independence

    This was created and sgned in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, by the second contilentain congress who consisted of delegates of the thirteen colonies. This was important to U.S. history because it showed Britain that we were not goin to deal with them. It was alos our fisrt written form of government.
  • Signing of The U.S. Constitution

    This was when 55 delegates attended the Constitutional Convention sessions, but only 39 actually signed the Constitution. The signing showed that we each had rights and that we were free. This was very important to us because it showed our rights and equal powers.

    On this day, President Jeffereson wanted more land toward the West, The purchase to the United States costed 15 miThe purchased territory included the whole of today's Arkansas, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Nebraska, parts of Minnesota and Louisiana west of Mississippi River, including New Orleans, big parts of North and northeastern New Mexico, South Dakota, northern Texas, some parts of Wyoming, Montana, and Colorado as well as portions of Canadian provinces Alberta and Saskatchewan.

    In Coloma California a n event happened very quickly. On January 24, 1848, an event occurred in Coloma that would largly impact the history of California and the Nation. James W. Marshall was building a sawmill, using water from the South Fork of the American River. He noticed several flakes of metal in the water and recognized them to be gold. Though he tried to keep it a secret, the word spread quickly, and started the very eventful California Gold Rush of 1849.

    This is the exact date that Abraham Lincoln was shot behind the ear in Ford's theatre by John Wilkes Booth. He was sitting in the presidential box, which is now titled "Lincoln's Box". This is a very important date in Americsn history

    The Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 was the first significant law restricting immigration into the United States. Many people that had already lived there were angry and even jealous that the Cinease were harder working and replaced them in their jobs.
  • Oklahoma Land Rush

    Oklahoma Land Rush
    This was the first land rush into the unassigned lands. The land that was rushed into is now many states in the West. It even included parts of Canada. It started arouns noon and an estimated number of 50,000 people were lined up.
  • March on Washington, "I have a dream speech"

    This speech was when many African Americans came to Washington D.C. to watch this. Martin Luther King Jr. made a speech about how he wishes that the black people had equal rights. This is important because it shows people that he had a dream about his rights and that many others did too.
  • Hubble telescope placed into orbit

    This telescope was placed in space because the astronauts had longed to see more, more of the outer space. The Hubble Space Telescope's launch in 1990 sped humanity to one of its greatest advances in that journey. Hubble is a telescope that orbits Earth. Its position above the atmosphere, which distorts and blocks the light that reaches our planet, gives it a view of the universe that typically far surpasses that of ground-based telescopes.

    I was born in Deleware County, PA. to my mom and dad I was the first born out of my siblings (I am the oldest). I was born on Father's Day, a day before my cousin who was born the next day.
  • Terrorist attacks 9/11

    Islamist extremist group, that occurred on the morning of September 11, 2001. hijacked plane, Flight 93, fought back, and the plane was crashed into an empty field in western Pennsylvania about 20 minutes by air from Washington, DC. York, 184 people were killed at the Pentagon and 40 people were killed on Flight 93. Also the twin towers in New York were knocked down. This is very important because it made us realize that we needed to fight back.
