James Watt was an Engeineer that invented the first steam engine use by allot of poeple. He imporoved Thomas Newcomen idea of a steam engine. This was important beause it was a new and very affective way to travel. This was a way use to travel goods in need of trade, and troops in wars. later on this is used to create cars and faster trains. -
French Revolution
The French Revolution started by the meeting of the States General.Then they stormed the Bastille in the need of gunpowder. Then they took King Louis back to Paris where they could watch him. Then they killed him by chopping off his head. The French Revoltion finaly ended when Napoleon took over. This was an important event because without it the Fench would probably not gotten their independence. That might effect our Relation alnog with alot of other states relations with them. -
Haitian Revolution
This was Hati revolting agianst the French. Hati is an island that was owned by the French. some people in France want Hati to become an independent country but most didn't. So Hati revolted, whicth took 13 years until they finally became a free country.
THis was important because they became a demacracy and this was one more demacracy. This ment that America was not alone. That also gave them a life without being a slave. Also they are a great trade center of sugar cane. -
Matt Perry goes to Japan
Matt was sent from U.S.A to talk to Japan about signing a treaty for trade. He went to Japan and said that he will only talk to the highest emissaries of the Emperor. Japan relized that they had no defense so they gave him what he wanted and They signed the treaty which said that they were friends and that they will protect each other.
This was important because japan was open to trade but they had to do it cause they would get destroyed. Also once they thought that they had the powertheybombus -
Independence of Mexico
this was Mexico breaking free from the spainsh in order to get their freedom. The Spainsh tricked Mexico one time by acting like gods. This was Mexico gettting their freedom. Mexico came out victorios.
This was an important event because it was one country breaking away from another and becoming a free country. Also because they are kind of wild but if they were still under the Spanish rule they could be very calm, educated and highly trained. -
Congress of Vienna
Eroupe after the downfall of Napoleon the First. This confrance was to settle futher bondaries. The main goal of this was to create a balance of power that would keep peace. This was important because this showed that some countries can come togather and sort things out. This could have been a war instead of a meeting. -
Opium War
The Opium War was between the British and China. Britian wanted to sell the drug Opium to China. china refused and took over the ships sent from Britian. The British won and forced china to sgin The Treaty of Nanking. Which said Hongkong was Britains, and several ports opened to British trade.
This was an important event because China didnt really trade to anyone. This also showed that Britain could beat on China. Also they put China into a kindof slum. -

This was a book written by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels about their theories of the nature of society and politics. this was said to be one of the world's most influential political manuscripts. This book was very important because it explained class struggle and the problems of capitalism. it was also called one of the world's most influential political manuscripts. -
Sepoy Mutiny
The Sepoy Indians were trading with the Britsh and the Brithish trained there men how to fight with a gun. When the Sepoy indians found out that their guns cartridges were greased with lard and beef fat they were outraged and stoped trading with them.
This was an important event because the indians like to keep to them selfs. For Britain to get a trade partner and have it being indians was a great thing. But then they ruined their relationship and it could have ended in war and thats not good -
Unification of Germany
It was when Germany came togather to for a powerful Country. This formed the German Empire. This was important because it lead to Germany becoming a powerful country and them starting world war 2. If they wouldn't have been so strong mabe Hitler wouldn't have been so powerful and that would have taken alot of vilonce out of this world. -

This was a meeting of Kings, Queens and Emperiers about who should get what in africa. They actually got out a map and divided it up into their own like a Draft. This event was important because in order to keep peace they split Africa which is a very mean and bad thing to do. But if they wouldn't have done it, well there might have been a World War 3. -

This was a War between Russia and Japan on who gets Manchuria and Korea. They fought it out for 1 year and 7 months. Japan came out victories. This was important because the winner got two parts of land. One reason is because they both of them were powerhouses. this was a suprising turn out to. They also have always been like rivals. -
Zulu Uprising
The British Taxed the african workers in Natal high. A man named Bambatha said he would not pay the collection of the new tax so he killed two white officers when they went to collect his tax. Bambatha gathered a small army of supporters and revolted. Britain troops srrounded and killed Alot of revolters and beheading Bambatha.

Dr.Sun Yat-sen takes over China
He was the man who carried through on the plan of getting rid of the Qing Dynasty. It was the last imperial dynasty of China. Then he became the first president in the Republic of China. He was an important man because he helped overthrow the government of China and made the country a Republic instide of a Imperial Dynasty. If he wouldn't have been born then the Qing might not have been over thrown and then there could be a Imperial Dynasty today and would change the course of history.
