    The stamp act was passed by the Parliament in the early 1765. The stamp act was so that all the colonist had to buy special tax stamps for the products and activities. The stampes were placed on alot of things that is why people started to protest. The protests had worked because in 1776 they ended the stamp act.

    Parliament ended all town duties exept the one on the tea, that tax had been left to demostrate the Parliments right to be able to tax the colonies. the Pariaments were late there was a angry crowed of workers circled around the solders yelling at them and throwing things at them. The solders were scared so they started shooting and killed 5 people and wounded 6. Those solders go arrested.

    It was between the Regulators of North Carolina and governor Tyon. It was over taxes. The Regulators lost.

    A group of colonist tried to stop the east indian company tea from dumping the tea in the water.The Sons of Liberty who the colonist called threatened the ship captains who was bringing in the tea and colonial tea merchants who had said the were going to buy it. Govenor Thomas Hutchinson decided to make sure the tea was being unloaded. Dec. 16 a large crowed gathered in the harbor. A large group of men disguised themself as Native Americans, during the 3 hours they had threw 342 cases of tea out

    The first Continental Congress formed in Carpenters' Hall in Philadelphia on Sept. 5, 1774. It was formed by eleven of the English-American colonies who were represented by 44 delegates they were, 2 from New Hampshire, 4 from Massachusetts, 2 from Rhode Island, 3 from Connecticut, 5 from New York, 5 from New Jersey, 6 from Pennsylvania, 3 from Delaware, 3from Maryland, 6 from Virginia, and 5 that was from South Carolina.

    After the battles of Lexington and Concord,most of the colonist did not like independence,so they tried to defend their rights against the british.Because of that the second continental of congress formed in Philadelphia on May 1775. the people who was part of the congress was Thomas Jefferson, young lawyer from virgina,John Hancock,and Benjamin Franklin.Their first task was to form an army so they choose George Washington as a commander of the army.This was the year they started printing money

    It started on the charlestown peninsula on the northside of the boston harbor. The British troops of the boston garrison faught aginst the troops of American continental army. The British had drove the Americans from charlestown peninsula. The battle was at the time considered as an American defeat.
  • Battle of Yorktown

    Battle of Yorktown
    It was from september the 28 to october 19. It took place in virgina. It was the Americans and French against the British. There were 8,800 Americans, 7,800 French and 6,000 British. Washington had commanded the Americans,and Lieutenant General de Rochambeau commanded the French and Major General Lord Cornwallis commanded the British to fight. The Americans and French ended up winning the battle.
