  • The Missouri Compromise

    The Missouri Compromise
    Henry Clay was the most involed person in the Missouri compromise and most norhterners were effected during it to. When te Missori Compromise happened it kept peace between the north and the south.
  • Slavery

    Slavery
    Slavery started when some white people took African Americans from their homes to be slaves without being paid and treated like animals. Abolitionist from the south tried to end slavery in parts of the south but mostly all of it.
  • The Compromise of 1850

    The Compromise of 1850
    The union and the confederacy were involved and were also effected in the Compromise of 1850. When it happened the north got California to join as a free state but the south said it was below the border so the souh refused and said thy would not let them be a free state. the south let it passed if they would get Mexico and Utah to vote freely. plus the north got Washington D.C to stop selling slaves.

    The Nat Turner Rebellion.
    The black slaves and Nat Turner were involved. Black people were efected and so were white people in the hard times. Nat Turner though that he was getting messages from god. This brought tensions between the north and the south by slaves being set free to do what ever they wanted and resume their old lifes.

    In 1854 the citizens of Missouri and Kansas were involved. The north and the south were effected during the time limit. When it began the north and the south started getting angry and fighting and that is how it brought tensions between the norht and the south.

    In 1860 Abraham Lincoln wanted to become the president of the north and so he was. At this time he was not one of the only candidates. When he was in the election their were two different candidates. The north and the south were effected at these times.
  • Secession

    President Lincoln and the people of south Carolina were in volved in the secession during the 1860s. Many of the southern States were effected. When this happened the south was getting angry because the north had lots more people voting so they left and thats why it's called the secession.
