    On the date of December 21, 1866. The Sioux, Cheyenne, and Arapaho warriors and planned a group of attacks from1865-1867. army torrps were manning the Bozeman trail. A Sioux military leader Crazy Horse acted as bait and lured the troops into a deadly trap.hundreds of warriors were waiting for the 80 troops, the warriors killed them all.

    The government set out to make a peace treaty with the native americans.In the spring of 1868 a meeting was held at Fort Laramine. The treaty was to bring peace to the white men and the Sioux. It was significant becasue it moved the Sioux to the Black Hills reservation in the dakota territory.
