what was the mood of the story? The mood of the story was rather unhappy. When they were going to the Golden Day one could tell that they were upset. Why were the guys at the Golden Day calling Mr. Norton Thomas Jefferson, or the messiah? He was called this because he always donated money to the school and to black people.
