    Texas Instruments produces the graphing calculator, allowing students to get instant visuals of mathematical graphs.
  • USB flash drives

    IBM introduces the USB flash drive commercially, eventually released to the public. This drive allowed students and teachers to bring projects to and from school to present, and allowed teachers to prepare powerpoints beforehand.

    Smartboards, an interactive board, are introduced into the classroom, and begin taking the place of white boards and chalk boards. These allowed a more interactive classroom, and starting the progression of more interactive technology.
