    Columbus "discovers" America

    Colubus sailed out of the Spanish port on August 3, 1942 with three ships. These ships were the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria. They oyage was much longer than expected and the crew was near mutiny. Then they spotted land. This land was to be called later "America."
  • Jamestown Colony Created

    Columbus landed near the Chesapeake Bay on the banks of the James River. This is where they founded Jamestown. Jamestown was the first permanent English colony in the "New World."
  • Plymouth Colony Created

    Out of the 102 people who boarded the Mayflowe rand lived, formed the Plymouth Colony. Among the leaders of the Plymouth Colony were William Bradford, John Carver, William Brewster, and Miles Standish.
  • Massachusetts Bay Colony created

    Massachusettes was founded by John Winthrop in 1630
  • New Amsterdam becomes New York

    Through many disputes between the Europeans and the Dutch, New Amsterdam became New Orange and then later New York.
  • William Penn creates Pennsylvania

    The Duke of York gave William a large peice of land in 1682.
  • George Washington assaults Fort Duquesne

    In late autumn, a young envoy named George Washington delivered a letter to the French commander, asking them to leave. Washington reached Fort Le Boeuf in December and was politely refused by the French.
  • Albany Congress Meets

    The Albany Congress (aka The Albany Conference) was a meeting where 7 representatives showed up to discuss things.
  • The French & Indian War concludes

    The Americans won! :D
