Bobby Seale and Huey Newton formed the Back Panther Party in Oakland, CA for self defense. They were formed to protect their local communities from police brutality and racism. The Ten-Point Program was established so that the Black Panthers can let the society know what they expect. How they expected to be treated like individuals. Huey Newton, a cofounder was arrested. Gasp!! After being involved in an altercation with the Oakland Police Department. With Huey Newton incarcerated, the new spokespeople would now be Bobby Seale and Eldridge Cleaver. This altercation left one policeman dead and another wounded.

A shoot-out leaves Bobby Hutton a 17-year old Panther dead. Riding around in two cars, Panther members were ambushed by the Oakland Police Dept. As the members scrambled, Gun fire broke out. Fred Hampton founded the Chicago chapter of the Black Panthers. His greatest accomplishment was to stop Chicagos most powerful street gangs from fighting and created a Nonaggression pact between the gangs.

Bobby Seale and seven other Black Panthers were accused of crossing state lines to start riots at the 1968 Democratic convention.

Police raided the Chicago headquarters early in the morning. Fred Hampton and Mark Clark were killed and the surviving Panther were arrested and charged with attempted police murder. Later evidence showed that only one shot came from the Panthers, where as a hundred shots came from the police.
