  • Light Bulbs

    The first light bulb was invented by Humphry Davy in 1809. Joseph Wilson Swan received the first patent on the light bulb in 1878 followed by Thomas Edison in 1879. This invention made it easier to see things without burning gas. this invention also made it possible to communicate through light.
  • Telegraph

    In 1809, a crude telegraph was invented in Bavaria by Samuel Soemmering. He used 35 wires with gold electrodes in water and at the receiving end 2000 feet the message was read by the amount of gas caused by electrolysis
  • Typewriter

    W.A. Burt invented a typewriter. Atype writer was used in a court house to record eveything that everyone has said.
  • Morse Code

    The morse code was a communication language where a system of long and short taps make up diffrent words and letters. the morse code was invented by Samual Morse.
  • Mechanical Calculator

    The mechanical calculator can be used as a communication device by answering problems. Charles Babbage invented the mechanical calculator.
  • Fax Patent

    The Fax Patent helped in communication by transmitting information in a shorter amount of time than it takes for something to get mailed. Alexander Bain invented the Fax Panent.
  • Mailbox

    The first U.S. letter box (where the public could leave its letters) sanctioned by the United States Postal Service was patented on March 9, 1858 by Alrbert Potts. The mailbox is part os the communication device system so thus the communication devices are delivered to your home.
  • Telephone

    In the 1870s, two inventors Elisha Gray and Alexander Graham Bell both independently designed devices that could transmit speech electrically (the telephone). The telephone is a communication device. This device can call people when you type 7 number and an area code.
  • Microphones

    It was Emile Berliner who invented the first microphone in 1876. The micophone is a communication device. The device carries you voice to a much greater distances so that more people can here you.
  • Fire Alarm

    It was written in history that a man named Francis Robbins Upton invented the first fire alarm product. This was in the year 1890. However, it wasn’t promoted in the market during that time. In 1969, the device invented by Upton was then initially premiered in the market for commercial use.
  • Radio

    The radio changed communication by being able to listen to something outside of the home other than waiting for long periods of time for it to show up on the television.The radio was invented by Guglielmo.
  • Flashlight

    American Electrical Novelty and Manufacturing obtained patent number 617,592 from David Misell (inverter) who filed for the patent on March 12, 1898 and used 3 D cell batteries. The flashlight can be used as a communication device or just as a light. By using the falshlight as a communication device you can tell a person that you are introuble, hurt, etc.
  • Lie Detector

    the lie detector can help police and detectives by detecting a lie that criminals might tell so there for the lie detector is part of the communications systems. The lie detector was invented by James Mackenzie.
  • Traffic Signal

    Garrett A. Morgan invented the first traffic signal. The traffic signal can be a part of communication and its mechine to human communication. This device tell people when to stop driving(red light), when to slow down(yellow light), and when to keep driving(green light).
  • High Speed Printer

    The first high speed printer was invented in 1938 and was invented by Chester Carlson In 1455, Germany. The high speed printer made it easier for people to print things out from a computer.
  • Computers

    The computer made it easier for people to seach things up or write a 5 page essay in an hour instead or 5 hours. The computer was invented by Bill Hewlett and David Packard.
  • Transistor

    The first transistor was invented at Bell Laboratories on December 16, 1947 by William Shockley (seated at Brattain's laboratory bench), John Bardeen (left) and Walter Brattain (right).
  • Videotape Recorder

    Charles Ginsburg led the research team at Ampex Corporation in developing the first practical videotape recorder (VTR). In 1951, the first video tape recorder (VTR) captured live images from television cameras by converting the information into electrical impulses and saving the information onto magnetic tape. The video tape recorder made it possible to catch the "first moments" of eveything so then you could show everyone over and over again without getting that tired.
  • Smoke Detector

    The smoke detector has been helping eveyday familys for almost 250 years. The smoke detector detects smoke and then communicates with us to tell us when something is on fire.
  • Plasma screen T.V.'s

    The very first prototype for a plasma display monitor was invented in July 1964 at the University of Illinois by professors Donald Bitzer and Gene Slottow, and then graduate student Robert Willson. The plasma screen T.V. made it easier and cheaper to have an in home movie theater.
  • digital camera

    On October 17, 1969, George Smith and Willard Boyle invented the charge-coupled device (CCD), the image sensor that’s the heart of all digital cameras, at Bell Labs. The digital camera made it easier to take pictures and instead of standing still for more than 15 minutes so then you can just stand still for a couple of seconds and the film is also easier to develop.
  • CD Players

    In the late 1970s, Sony collaborated with Philips Electronics and Polygram to design a new type of music player. The CD player makes it easier to listen to music without sitting right next to a plug in.
  • Cellular Phones

    The first true cellular phone was created by Martin Cooper in 1973 for the Motorola company. The cell phone made it easier to make phone calls from out of the home.
  • GPS

    The GPS device help people by telling them how to get to certian places. Dr. Ivan Getting invented the GPS.
  • Laptop Computers

    The laptop was invented by Adam Osborne in 1981.
    It was called 'Osborne 1' and cost $1,795. The laptop makes it easirer for people who need a small portable computer on the go. By using a laptop on the go might make it easier on people like writers or jurnalists.
  • Text Messaging (SMS)

    Text messaging makes everyday life just a tad easier. By being able to send a quiet message in a crowd of 50 or more people and not being interupted in the middle of a phone call. So thus text messaging is somewhat a better way to communicate.
  • Bluetooth

    The bluetooth devices makes it easier to call people when your hands are full. Jaap Haartson and Sven Mattisson invented the bluetooth device they both were working for Ericsson, a large Sweddish telecommunications equipment manufacturer.
  • MP3 Player

    The MP3 Player is a device that you can download music onto it so then you can take the devise to places outside of the home. A German company, Frauhofer-Gasellshaft invented the MP3 Player.
  • iPod

    The iPod has made it possible for you to take music out and listen to it without haveting to change the battery every so often. The Apple team; Jon Rubinstein, Tony Fadell, and Michael Dhuy, created the Apple iPod.
  • iPhones

    Iphones are a smart phone that can help people by using it for a replacement laptop that is not olny more portable but also easier to use. Steve Jobs and Apple invented the iPhone.
