    Griffin and Ben are camping out at the abandoned Rockford mansion. It was supposed to be a big camp out with other kids, but none showed up because the mansion is rummerd in various ways to be haunted. Ben wants to leave the house, but Griffin demands on staying, so they stay!

    Griffin and Ben are camping out at an abandoned house (Rockford mansion) The time is present day, Griffin and Ben are average kids around 11 years of age. They've decided to sleep overnight at the abandoned house, which will be demolished soon. The story also takes place later at Swindle's house.

    Griffin wakes up to the sound of construction trucks getting ready to demolish the house. Before they woke, Griffin found a Herman "Babe" Ruth baseball card in a drawer that wouldn't open, but it did eventually and inside there was a baseball card.

    Griffin goes to trade the baseball card to S. Windle Palomino Emporium to get money to help his family, but S. Windle says the card isn't worth that much so he gives Griffin $100, but then later when the boys see Swindle on t.v showing off the baseball card, they make a plan to steal it back.

    S. Windle will be out of town soon to sell the baseball card. Griffin knows that will be the perfect oppurtunity to steal the card.

    Griffin and Ben go to talk to S. Windle about how he tricked them out of the card and they want it back, but S. Windle refuses and to seal the warning he shows off Luthor, the guard dog.

    Griffin uses his Dad's Fruit picker to ge the card out of the tree. They get the card and run.

    Darren tries to steal the Babe Ruth baseball card, he looses it and it flies up into the tall tree in S.Windle's yard. Now the card is stuck.

    The team sneaks into S. Windle's house, while everybody is doing their job, Savannah, the dog whisperer is calming down Luthor, the guard dog, when she notices he's terrified of something, it ends up being a huge German Sheppard.

    The team tries to make an escape for it and must get passed a man at the door and a neighboor that watches the house constantly. They run for it, but to distract the big german sheppard they give it a piece of meat which it ate and the card ended up being in the meat, so they got the card.

    The next day, some of the kids that took part in the heist were called down to the office. They gave clues to the heist, but Griffin refused to tell what happened and he started to get the feeling he was being watched, because Detective Sergeant Vizzini is keeping a close eye on Griffin and asks Griffin if he has the card, but Griffin doesn't because he mailed it to the old Rockford mansion where he will go get it when the coast is clear.

    About a few weeks go by and Griffin thinks its safe to go get the card, so at 3 a.m he leaves and goes to the Rockford mansion to get the card. Detective Vizzini catches him and now Griffin has a lot of explaining to do.

    The house actually belonged to Darren's grandmother, who gave Darren the Babe Ruth card after it was confiscated from Griffin, she allowed Darren to keep it. (She thought the card was a Baby Ruth, candy bar)

    Griffin had to sign off a paper that was basically giving the card to Darren's grandmother (who gave it to Darren) Darren sold the card for $974,000. Also by Griffin using the SmartPick to get the card, it became very popular and people wanted to buy it. Griffin's family's money problem was solved.

    The end of the story turned out great.

    *Palomino's Emporium was shut b because it never recovered from its owner's scandal

    *Darren donated most of the money to the Cedarville Mueseum who later hung a picture of all the kids involved in the heist outside their door on the grand opening day as a "Thanks for the money."
