Griffin and Ben's friend had their friend Savannah talk and play with the guard dog at the shop, so that it would be familiar with them at the time of the heist.

Savvanah found out about Ben and Griffin's plan and decided not to help them any longer after she got the dog to be nice.

Ben snuck in the shop and waited in a crate until morning to let Griffin in. Griffin then looked for the safe.

The police found out that Griffin and his friends had stolen the baseball card back from S. Wendle. They gave the card back to the original owner, an old woman that used to live in the abandoned house.

When they found the safe it was empty. The card was actually found in a turkey in the refrigerator.

Griffin and his family no longer had to sell their house because his family got so much publicity from the baseball card. It generated interest in his dad's invention, the SmartPick and investors wanted to back him through the whole process.
