An Individual's Responsibility to Enhance Their Health

There are several health risks in today’s society. One is your hereditary, but your behavior is just as important to your health (3). It is, also, a responsibility of an individual to reduce their health risks by avoid drugs, eating healthy, and becoming more physically active in order to enhance one’s health. By eating healthier/staying hydrated, one can improve their immune system and health (4). By exercising through activities such as sports, we burn the energy we get from eating food (4).

Lately, my family member has been trying to reduce the amount of “bad” food (s)he has been eating to prevent an unhealthy liver. His/her liver has been giving him/her rashes due to the unhealthy foods (s)he has been putting in her body. In order to become healthier and avoid the health risk of an unhealthy liver, said family member has been eating more fruits/vegetables, and proteins combined with drinking greater amounts of water in order to flush out toxins in his/her body.
