It has housed the meeting chambers of the House of Representatives and the Senate for two centuries. The Capitol, which was started in 1793, has been through many construction phases. It stands today as a monument to the American people and their government.

The library contains about 25 million books. This library contains a reading section that is in a circular shape. It is one of the most coolest looking reading sections i have ever seen.     The Fords Theater which is now an amazing tourist place consisted if 2 buildings. The Theater is almost an acre big. An acre is about 43,560 square feet, so that is a pretty big area. Beneath the Fords theatre is the museum I was telling you before. This contains of materials that were used back then, and items that are very weird to see now days. The museum also shows John Boothe's gun that he used to shoot Lincoln. It also shows Boothe's Diary, which shows all of the assassination plans.

The same was used that George Washington used to lay the cornerstone of the Capitol way back in 1793. Thousands gathered around the construction site to celebrate the moment.

As it says in, (dc.about.com) "The figures are like they are alive, because they look so real". Opening in Fall 2010 there is a new part of this wax museum. It is a presidential wax museum that has all 44 U.S. presidents. If you go behind the Scenes in this wax museum, you will see how they make these figures so real! As people have said "This museum is so awesome, They look so real!

    The National zoo in Washington, D.C. is a 163 acre park. They have about 400 species of animals around the park. As it says in, (dc.about.com) "This zoo is famous for their Panda's". Alot of people have visited this zoo because of the pandas. As it is a 163 acre park, this zoo requires alot of walking. So you will want to dress right for the weather. The Zoological Park's primary aim was not for the entertainment of people, but for the preservation of endangered animals for our Country.

    The Halocaust Museum is made in memory of all of the people who died in the death camps. As it said in, (www.ushmm.org). This is one and only Museum of the Halocaust. This museum has a book story in it. It goes in order of what happened in world war 2. This will be amazing to see. This theatre also has four theatres that gives you a look at what happened. This gives you a better image also.
