Preplanning
I will set up an Excel Spreadsheet to track student work, document letter student is to work with, and checklist for entry on Prezi. -
Choose letters
I will prepare a SMART Notebook page to randomly generate the names of the students in my class and a page to randomly generate letters. The students will select their letter and then the next student to come to the board. They will then type it into the prepared Excel spreadsheet. -
Teaching
Students will write their letter(s) on the SMART Board and make their craft during reading station times for two weeks. This will be done in small groups. We will also make crafts as a whole class for the letters being introduced. Students will use the FLIPs to take pictures of their projects. -
Complete crafts
All crafts will be completed by the students and they will have taken a film of their craft. They will also have written their letter(s) on the SMART Board. They will do this in small groups during station time for two weeks. -
Complete Kerpoof drawings
Students will use the laptop to draw a picture on Kerpoof. I will then assist them to take a picture of it and place it into SMART Notebook. I will then save the pictures to add to the Prezi. -
Compile Prezi
I will compile all of the student work onto the Prezi. I will place the Kerpoof picture in the background and then place the letter and the picture of the craft on the background. I will assist the students in drawing the path. -
