A group of boys from a British private school are being sent away after there is a nuclear threat. Their plane crash lands on a tropical island, the pilot is killed in the crash leaving them to fend for themselves. -

the first meeting
Ralph and piggy find a conch shell, Ralph blows into it and the rest of the boys on the island gather around him. -
Explorers
Ralph, jack, and Simon Went exploring on the island. -
signal fire
The boys decide to start a signal fire on top of the mountain. They end up setting trees on fire, and one boy is killed. -
shelter
Ralph and Piggy know they have to build shelters. They try to get the other boys to build with them but they just want to play. -
savages
All the boys are starting to become savages. They have long hair and raggy clothes. -
beast from water
the boys are starting to see things in the woods and in the water. They are worried there is a "beast" on the island or living in the water around it. -
the first kill
Jack finally kills a pig. After many tries, he puts on face paint, takes his hunters out, and they kill it. They come up with a chant, Kill the pig cut her throat, spill her blood. That night they have a feast on top of the mountain to celebrate. -
the beast arrives
one night, there is a dogfight in the sky above the island while the boys are sleeping. A pilot is ejected, and he lands, dead, on top of the mountain. The boys see him and think he is a monster. -
Two different leaders, two different tribes
Signs of their stay on the island is showing. They are starting to develop long hair and shaggy beards. They are split up into two groups, Jack's group being the hunters and Ralph's group trying to keep everything civilized. -
Lord of the flies
Jack and his hunters kill another pig. This time the boys cut off its head, and place it on a stake. This is an offering for the Beast. Simon is in the clearing where the Pigs head is placed. He is having an epileptic seizure, and he hallucinates. He sees the pig head covered in flies, and it talks to him. -
The Last Supper
Simon has a bower that he goes to in the forest. He stays there and lets the sun beat down on him. He stumbles down the mountain onto the beach where the other boys are doing the pig ritual after killing and eating a p He was going to tell them that there is no need to act like savages. The boys think he is the beast and letting their fear take over them, the boys unconsciously kill Simon. His body is then dragged out to see, with a phosphoresent glow around him, showing him as a godlike figure. -
Raiders in the Night
Jack and his group come to ralph's huts in the night. They go in and try to beat Sam, Eric, Ralph, and Piggy up. The boys fight back, but in the end, Jack's raid is successful, they get piggy's Glasses. -
One last plea
Piggy, Ralph, and Samneric go to Castle Rock to retrieve Piggy's glasses from Jack's group. On their way there, Roger crushes Piggy with a boulder and then Samneric get captured. Ralph barely escapes. Later that day Ralph goes to see Samneric to try and rescue them. -
They are rescued
Jack's group tries to burn out Ralph from the forest. Ralph escapes to the beach where he stumbles upon a naval officer. The officer tells Ralph that he saw their signal fire and came to rescue them.
