Sioux expressed their culture being crushed with a ritual known as the ghost dance. reservation officials banned dance and tried to arrest Sitting Bull, but ended up shooting him.

Wounded Knee

Sioux fled after sitting bull was killed.regrouped at creek called wounded knee. army went to confiscate their weapons but fighting broke out.
