    Dust Bowl

    In the 1930s there was a big drought and big dust storms were spread out through the Midwest. it was cause, because farmer would plow their fields and dig up the top layer of dirt.

    Mildred Brown and her husband opened up the Omaha Star, the first black-owned newspaper in Nebraska.
