How does God continue to advance his mission to reflect His glory in this story?
This shows how God will always provide for us and it reflects His glory because it reminds us of what we have is always given by Him and can be taken away just as easily. This story also reflects His mission on sacrificing Jesus later on, just like how Abraham almost had to sacrifice Isaac, and instead of us having to die for our sins, Jesus (the ram) would die instead.

OT-When Jacob put on Esau’s clothing and animal skin to get a blessing from Isaac (Gen 27: 5-25).
NT- Jesus came down to Earth as a human, he came down dressed as one of us (equal to us) (1 Pet 2: 21-24; Isa 53: 4-6).
How it relates to NT: Jacob putting on Esau’s clothes is kind of like how Jesus came down to Earth as a human being to be a sacrifice for us.

Genesis 12:2 ”I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.”
The Arabs(407-420mill) and Israelites(6.5mill) both makeup 2 great nations today. Genesis 16:12 states that Ishmael: “He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone's hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers." It shows in modern day in the Arab-Israeli conflict. E.g Arab-Israeli War 1948 -

Genesis 31:3 New International Version (NIV)
3 Then the Lord said to Jacob, “Go back to the land of your fathers and to your relatives, and I will be with you.” This verse relates to me because it really shows how God is with me. Although my life might not be what I want or expect it to be, I always will remember that God is here with me. I often think back if I didn't get accepted into this school, I would have never met any of my friends I have today. -
