2001 No Child Left Behind Act
Former President Bush signed into law the NCLB. The NCLB was created to include all students to be included in the high stakes assessments. At least 95% of students with disabilities must participate in the statewide assessments that are used as standard measures of yearly progress for school-aged children. Testing accommodations are considered in order to help the children with learning disabilities during testing.
