    The Seneca Falls Convention was held in Seneca Falls, New York. The convention was started by Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Luretia Mott. This convention was held to launch the women's right movement. There was 300 people attend. This encourged groups to form to fight for women's suffrage.

    National Woman Suffrage Assoication
    The National Woman Suffrage Assoication, led by Susan B. Anthony, was formed to propose an amendment to the Constitiution. Susan B. Anthony and her successors presented the amendment to Congress, but it falied. National attention and support came to the movement when Susan B. Anthony was arrested and tried for voting in the 1872 presidental election.
