The reason for this was because he was a dictator and a rebel after drug trafficking while a CIA agent. Code-named Operation: Just Cause. The main force consisted of the Navy Seals and after the invasion it was well understood that this was close to a violation of International Law but had been done to restore democracy in Panama. -
In Los Angeles in early-March, 1991, several police officers had brutally battered and beaten a black citizen named Rodney King. Rodney King was on parole for robbery and was brought out of his car for speeding away from the police. 4 white police officers then brutally beat Rodney King to the point of brain damage. Later, after trial, the four officers were found not guilty. This immediately resulted in riots breaking out in LA after many people had saw the officers were guilty. -
Jeffrey Dahmer was a culprit for Murder, Cannibalism, Necrofilia, and Sexual Assault. Lived from 1978 to 1991 and was raised in Ohio and moved to Wisconsin. He had murdered and raped 17 male victims and was never caught until one of his victims escaped. He was then killed in prison raising FBI force into domestic investigation. His trial and sentence was decided on Jan 30, 1992. -
Ronald Reagan had started this event in his 1980 campaign. Then, after the 1988 Canada-United States Free Trade Agreement, George H. W. Bush, Carlos Salinas de Gortari, and Brian Mulroney began to negotiate NAFTA. This agreement affected North America. It was a reduction of international fees between the participating countries to help trade increase. -
After the death of Simpson's ex-wife on March 12, 1994, Football player O.J Simpson was accused of the crime and had fled from the scene with the support of many fans. He was brought in custody and taken to trial where he was proven not guilty. The controversiality of the situation lies in the trial itself, where the evidence strongly pointed towards O.J being guilty, however, because O.J had such a strong force of lawyers, he was found innocent. -
A Trans World Airlines flight that crashed in the Atlantic Ocean just off of the coast of Long Island. 230 people all were dead. The FBI had suspected that the crashed met an end by a missile and had led a very large investigation seeing as this was meant to go across the World. It was reluctantly accepted that it was a fuel container explosion and malfunction. This led to an increase of Airplane security and safety. -
The Olympic Park Bombing was a terrorist attack in Atlanta, Georgia by a man named Eric Rudolph. Eric Rudolph would go on to commit many more bombings. In total, this incident had caused the injury of 110 people and 2 people died. Many people were saved by a security guard named Richard Jewell who was blamed for the incident until the real culprit was found and arrested. This resulted in another internal affair to increase national protection. -
In Colorado of the United States, there was a cult full of members who were persuaded into believing that they were to be take into the kingdom of heaven. They were expecting a large spacecraft to take them to higher existence in the 1980s, however, this never happened. The Cult reformed after the Hale-Bopp comet was discovered and was interpreted to be an escape to higher existence by the Heaven's Gate members. In Late March 1997, all members killed themselves to reach higher existence. -
From March 24 to June 10, 1999, NATO had bombed all enemy locations in Yugoslavia and Kosovo to end the tyranny of Yugoslavia and the Kosovo War. The problem with this is NATO had overridden all UN agreements and had acted only on national wisdom. This had risen international problems with the US's impulsive decision. Another problem was the ethical side, many innocent people had been killed for no reason and many others were unjustly killed. -
The Columbine Massacre was a school shooting that had been committed by two seniors named Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold. It resulted in the subsequent death of 12 students and one teacher leaving many more injured. This motive of this is still unknown but it is known that the two had planned this event for a long time in hope that it would exceed the highest death count in American History.
