Signing of the Americans With Disabilities Act
The signing of the Americans With Disabilities Act was signed by President George H.W Bush and made discrimination against people with disabilities illegal. This made everyone free and allowed everyone to have the same rights. This law includes all aspects of life including school, jobs, transportation, and in general public. -
Entrance of US Soldiers in Somalia / Blackhawk Down
In the winter of 1992 George H.W Bush allowed American troops to enter Somalia. Ultimately 18 soldiers had died in the attacks. Initially the troops were sent in to help with famine relief as part of the larger United Nations effort. -
Signing of the North American Free Trade Agreement
President Clinton signed this bill with Canada and Mexico to open up borders and trade freely among the countries. This would allow for cheaper goods and more jobs for Americans. This agreement was for the North American countries only. -
Beginning of NATO bombing in Yugoslavia
This bombing came from NATO's military operations against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia during the Kosovo War. NATO sent many airstrikes and ultimately made a lot of damage. These airstrikes lasted until June 10, 1999
