    The Americans With Disabilities Act was passed in July of 1990. It is an act to establish a clear and comprehensive prohibition of discrimination on the basis of disability. The Act provides similar protections against discrimination to Americans with disabilities as the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The Act was signed by President H.W. Bush
  • Confermation of Clarence Thomas

    Confermation of Clarence Thomas
    On July 1, 1991, President George H.W. Bush nominated Clarence Thomas for the Supreme Court to replace Thurgood Marshall. Mant Women's Group's and Civil Rights groups apposed Thomas due to his conservative political views. Toward the end of the confermation hearings, sexual harassment allegations by Anita Hill were released to the public. Thomas was confermed by a slim majority of 52 to 48.

    After a physical before the 1991-1992 NBA season, Magic Johnson tested posotive for HIV. In a press conference held November 7, 1991, Johnson announced that he would retire immediately. The announcement was a huge story in the U.S. after it was made. Even though he had retired, Johnson was still voted a starter for the 1991-1992 All-Star game.

    Jeffery Dahmer was a serial killer and sex offender. He was also known as the Milwaukee Canibal. He was convicted of 15 of his 16 murders he commited. He was sentanced to 15 life terms in prison and was beaten to death by his cell mate in 1994.

During the Operation a Black Hawk helicopter was shot down by an RPG, this helicoper was the same helicopter in the movie Black Hawk Down.
