    US Invasion of Panama
    US invasion of Panama a.k.a. Operation Just Cause was an invasion made by the U.S. to help Panama capture their president. This caused the United States to break both the government policies and international law just to invade Panama. It was because their President named Manuel Noriega was doing some drug trafficking. Then when the war broke out, and George Bush sent about 25,000 solider. This lead to the United States finally getting Panama’s president, who is now serving in jail.
  • Passage of the Americans With Disabilities Act

    Passage of the Americans With Disabilities Act
    This act was established so that people cannot discriminate towards people with disability. It was authored by Senator Tom Harkin who was the Chief sponsor, who had a disabled brother. It was signed into law by George Bush. This act was to protect the disabled for other to know that whether the disability was mentally or physically, they are to be able to work, be treated equal in public and get some special treatment such as handicap.

    Rodney King Beating/ L.A. Riots
    The Rodney King case was a case that involved an African American man getting brutally beat by four white men. This case had brought so many media attention that it made people go on riots for days, causing a lot of damage in the L.A. area. The riot was due to racial tension and the fact that the jury gave free of charge for the fourth assault of a deadly weapon. In the end, Rodney’s case was solved in the fact that he won and started a hip-hop business.

    This event that had happen was about the U.S. sending our troops to Somalia to help with the starving men, women, and kids. At the time that the troops were down there many media covered on the starving Somalians. It also covered on what the troops were doing. The troops had apparently been taking part in gun battles and bombing towards those that tried to fight against the troops.

    Passage of the North American Free Trade Agreement
    This was the world's free trade area that covered the United States, Canada, and Mexico. It was designed to increase buisness investments, and reduce trading cost. It was started by President Bush but then became a priority of Clinton who signed it into law on this date.
  • Murder of James Byrd

    Murder of James Byrd
    The Murder of James Byrd was a hate crime that was because of racism. James was an African-American that was a victim whom experienced being treated horribly to death by three white males. He was severely beaten, urinated on and dragged by a truck from being chained. The result of his murderers was that one couldn’t be evicted for a crime due to lack of evidence and the other two were sentenced to death row.
  • Murder of Matthew Sheppard

    Murder of Matthew Sheppard
    The murder of Matthew Sheppard was due to the causes that he was gay. In which two boys had physically assaulted him and nearly beat him to death. They beat him so bad that just after six days of the beating Matthew died because of severe head injuries. When those two men where brought into trial they weren’t charged for hate crime because an officer testified saying that Matthew wasn’t beaten because he was gay it was more of because of the hate the two boys felt towards gays.

    NATO bombing in Yugoslavia
    During the Kosovo war, an operation that NATO was not approved of doing lead to a bombing in Yugoslavia. It was not approved because the sovereign nation didn’t pose a threat. Except without the approval of the UN security they still proceeded with bombing. This killed many people but it also settled the fight by having Yugoslavians withdraw from Kosovo.

    The Columbine Massacre was a school shooting that involved two white male students that had planned to shoot people and later commit suicide in the school. This was the first mass murder crime everyone saw in a school building. Without anyone knowing their motives on why they wanted to do that it brought up a question to many. Many wonder if there should be a law on gun control and of who should be able to have possession of a gun.
